Position: YMeal Program Chef
About: The Meal Program Chef position at a community organization involves planning, preparing, and cooking weekly meals for senior lunch on Fridays and SRO family dinner on a weekday and/or Saturdays. The meals primarily consist of Chinese dishes and soups, serving groups of 50-80 people per meal. The Chef will work alongside a team of 4-8 additional staff/volunteers to ensure effective kitchen and meal service.
Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in cooking, specializing in Chinese cuisine; Availability for specific schedule including Fridays: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Saturdays: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM, One weekday (to be agreed upon): 2:00 PM – 7:30 PM; Food Safety Handler Certification (can be acquired after hire)
