Position: Welder
About: HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in La Porte, TX is looking for a Welder/Fabricator to work at our customer location and to join their safety conscious team. This team member is responsible for the successful execution of the application of trade skills to a wide variety of welding, fitting and custom fabrication and various other responsibilities. The Welder/Fabricator serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers. Requirements: Basic fitting experience/knowledge; performs welding operations as required by job specifications with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW; knowledge of raw materials and understands MTR’s and electrode classifications; perform pre-welding operations with saws, shears, automated cutting equipment for shaping and preparation; understand the use of weld inspection tools and their use; assist in dimensional verification checks; understand basic inspection of welds for discontinuities; performs advanced fabrication, documents measuring, etc.; must be willing to work nights and weekends beyond their normal schedule; Journeyman Certification preferred; 3-5 years experience welding required; driver’s license required; previous experience with Vac Truck and/or fabrication is an asset; mechanically inclined.
