Position: Weekend Kitchen Manager
About: Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul is seeking a Weekend Kitchen Manager to oversee the preparation and service of well-prepared, healthy meals for their shelter guests. This role involves organizing and supervising Weekend Meal Team volunteers, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, and maintaining quality and safety standards under the guidance of the Head Chef.
Requirements: 1+ years of experience cooking in a commercial kitchen environment; willingness to work weekends, holidays, and weekdays as needed; ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment; Food Manager Certification (training provided if hired); acceptance and respect for diversity; honesty, dependability, and professionalism; patience, understanding, creativity, and fairness with participants; ability to lift 30 lbs, perform basic cleaning tasks, and climb stairs regularly; personal commitment to the mission of the organization
