Position: Vice President of Center Operations – YMCA of Central Ohio

About: Join us as the VP of Center Operations to lead impactful programs, enhance community relations, and drive engagement across our centers! We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Center Operations with a strong background in YMCA values and operations (Membership, Wellness, Youth Development, Aquatics, and Facilities) to lead our Community Centers and advance our mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This pivotal role calls for an accomplished leader with substantial YMCA expertise, and a proven track record of leadership development, philanthropy, community engagement, and board development. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and accountability, leveraging their YMCA knowledge to drive member engagement and deliver impactful initiatives that strengthen our community. As a key member of our executive team, the Vice President will oversee center leadership and drive operational excellence, aligning closely with our organization’s unique goals and community impact model. YMCA experience is highly preferred, however, we welcome candidates with equivalent leadership experience and a passion for our mission to apply and make a meaningful difference in our community.

Requirements: Bachelor degree in operations management, human services, business or social services, or equivalent in experience and education combined; Eight or more years of progressive professional experience with managing multiple product lines and services, and multi-location operations. YMCA or non-profit experience preferred; YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred; if not certified, should obtain certification within 2 years; Passionate belief in the Y’s cause of nurturing the potential of all youth, supporting healthy living for all people and finding ways to help and support our neighbors; Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff; Experience developing effective teams that deliver organizational-wide services and effective end-user member services; Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community.
