This winter, The View will reopen as a fully reimagined upscale dining destination at the New York Marriott Marquis. As the city’s only revolving restaurant, bar, and lounge, The View has been redesigned by Rockwell Group to capture the essence of New York’s vibrant nightlife, drawing inspiration from the elegance of classic American supper clubs.
Located on the 47th and 48th floors, The View offers two unique settings: an upper-level bar and lounge featuring a raw bar and a lower-level full-service restaurant with live music every night. The menu and cocktail offerings celebrate American classics with a creative, theatrical touch, embodying the spirit of Times Square. Designed to be a lively retreat from the city’s bustle, The View looks forward to welcoming both locals and visitors.
Who You Are:
As a Server, you are central to creating memorable experiences for guests, combining warm hospitality with exceptional food, drinks, and attentive service. A key member of our service team, the Server is responsible for the sale and service of food and beverages while setting a high standard of leadership on the floor. Servers may work in either the lounge or dining room, depending on restaurant needs and their experience, ensuring each guest enjoys an extraordinary and personalized dining experience.
Requirements:
2+ years experience as a Server role in a full-service restaurant
English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
What You’ll Do:
Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations
Consistently follows steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
Anticipates guest needs, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen at all times during service
Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service
Demonstrates an eagerness to continue to learn and grow
Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success
