Position: TRAVELING CHEF
About: Canteen, a company specializing in providing food, service, and experience backed by industry-leading technology to create a better workplace, is seeking a full-time Traveling Chef for their Midwest Dining location in Madison, WI. This position involves 100% travel to 1 of 17 accounts primarily in Illinois, with occasional travel to support Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan.
Requirements: Previous experience in scratch cooking, batch cooking, training, Microsoft Office, leadership, menu development & pricing is preferred. 5 years of related culinary experience including 1 year at the management level required. Knowledge of food and industry trends, quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation are essential. Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts is preferred. Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills are necessary. ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is a plus. Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
