About: SSP America is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join their team, responsible for preparing sushi and other Japanese/Asian cuisines with a focus on quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will uphold customer service excellence, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, meet brand standards, and contribute to a safe working environment for all associates.
Requirements: 1+ years of proven experience as a sushi chef/cook in a high-volume operation; in-depth knowledge of Japanese/Asian ingredients, sushi preparation, fish handling, and sanitation principles; excellent knife skills and fish fabrication techniques; familiarity with food and beverage business operations and standards; possession of a food handlers permit as required by law; ability to prioritize customer satisfaction, drive sales, and maintain profitability; strong organizational, recruitment, training, and interpersonal skills; proactive, self-directed, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
