Position: Sushi Chef (Bell Gardens, Ca.)
About: Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking a Sushi Chef who is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service. The Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes to customers in a professional kitchen environment at Parkwest Bicycle Casino.
Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Sushi Chef in a professional kitchen environment and apprenticeship from Culinary school; Two-three years working as a Sushi Chef in a fast-paced environment; Extensive knowledge and expertise in filleting and preparing various types of fish and seafood; Proficiency in creating a wide range of sushi dishes, including rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, with exceptional attention to detail; Strong knife skills and the ability to handle and prepare ingredients with precision and efficiency; Active California Food Handlers Certification and/or Card; Open availability to work swing shift, weekends, and holidays; Must be 21 years old; Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge, or license; Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.; Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background, and credit check.
