Position: Steward Dishwasher
About: Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, located in Chandler, Arizona, is seeking a Utility Cleaner to play a vital role in supporting various functions within the hotel. Associates in this position may work across multiple departments (e.g. kitchen, food and beverage, laundry) to provide cleaning support, whether it’s preparing linens and clean dishes for guest enjoyment, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools (e.g. dishwashers, sinks, washers, dryers), or transporting linens and dishes throughout the hotel. These associates go above and beyond to achieve the goal of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the hotel.
Requirements: Education: No high school diploma or equivalent required; General Educational Development (GED) certificate is not necessary. Work Experience: No relevant work experience required. Supervisor Experience: No supervisor experience required. License or Certification: None. Desired Skills: Creating a safe work environment; following company policies and procedures; maintaining quality standards; ensuring professional appearance, uniform, and communication at all times; developing and maintaining good working relationships with other employees and departments; supporting the team to achieve common goals; listening and responding appropriately to employee concerns; reporting accidents, damages, and hazardous conditions to the manager; engaging in various physical tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing objects under 50 pounds unassisted; standing, walking, sitting for long periods; bending, kneeling, twisting, stretching, and crouching as needed); performing other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
