About: This esteemed restaurant is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, staff management, menu development, and maintaining high culinary standards within a dynamic dining environment.
Requirements: Prior experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant preferred; prior kitchen management experience; high school diploma or equivalent; possession of a Food Handler Safety Training Card; knowledge of food health and safety regulations; menu and resource planning expertise for high-end dining establishments; familiarity with seasonal ingredients, flavor profiles, and dish palatability; exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; effective English communication abilities; proficiency in kitchen operations management and staff supervision; positive attitude and ability to foster a collaborative work environment; flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays; understanding of profit and loss statements; adept at quick decision-making in fast-paced environments; commitment to cleanliness and professional appearance; physical fitness to lift heavy trays and equipment, navigate restaurant spaces, and stand for extended periods.
