Position: Sous Chef job
About: Santan Mountain Casino, located in Chandler, Arizona, features over 813 slot machines and 25 table games, including Craps, Blackjack, Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Poker, and the only white roulette wheel in the US. The casino offers a 7,000 square feet sports book sponsored by Bet MGM with 130-foot TV screens, stadium-style seating, and entertainment including a DJ. Dining options include Hive cocktail lounge, Honey and Vine upscale restaurant, and various food court venues such as Rizzo’s, Taste Kitchen, Starbucks, Mein Dish, and Upper Deck Deli.
Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in food preparation, management, nutrition, or related field preferred; Prior experience in a fast-paced high-volume fine dining restaurant/catering facility, full-service casual dining preferred; Various experience levels in volume feeding, ala carte, fine dining, catering, baking and pastry, and purchasing storage and handling required; Must have Gila River Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Blood-Borne Pathogens (BBP), and other required compliance trainings; Ability to perform the GILA WAY: Greet our guest, Interact positively with our guest, Listen actively to our guest, and Appreciate our guest; Strong guest service skills, telephone etiquette, and ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and gain cooperation of guests and team members; Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral; In-depth knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to responsibilities within one year
