Position: Sous Chef job

About: Supervises staff and provides culinary expertise in food preparation service, assuring proper production techniques, portion control and plating standards are applied according to menu, recipe, and department standards. Assists in daily operations for food preparation and service operations to ensure associates have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs effectively. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as department policies and procedures. Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements, and promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Requirements: Serv-Safe Certification to be obtained within 3 months on the job required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Two (2) year Associates degree from an accredited Culinary school preferred; Four (4) years of high volume cooking, Two (2) years in a culinary leadership role preferred.
