Position: Sous Chef job
About: The Shelborne by Proper, a renowned hotel re-opening and debuting in the Proper Hospitality portfolio in early 2025, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join its culinary team. The property will introduce four vibrant new food & beverage destinations, including an all-day signature restaurant, a lobby bar-lounge, and curated cafe, along with resort amenities like a spacious pool, indoor-outdoor cabanas, fitness center, and more.
Requirements: Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel kitchen, with at least 2 years in a leadership role; Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience; Skills: Expertise in multiple cooking techniques and cuisines, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, exceptional attention to detail and presentation, effective communication and leadership skills; Passion: A deep passion for food, creativity, and delivering exceptional guest experiences; Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
