Position: Sous Chef job
About: This position is under direct supervision of the Restaurant Chef at Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, including Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and TOGE internal controls. The role involves training kitchen staff in various culinary skills and maintaining a professional kitchen environment in a team-based setting.
Requirements: High School Degree or GED plus 2 years experience as a Sous Chef, or 5 years in kitchen with 3 years of supervision experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license. Knowledge of food preparation methods and techniques, operation of food preparation equipment, staff management, Food Handlers card, TIPS certification, basic English communication skills, outstanding guest service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, withstand extreme temperatures, work well under pressure, supervisory skills, and PC, Windows-based computer proficiency.
