Position: Sous Chef job
About: Glorioso’s Italian Market, a 79-year-old, well-established family Italian grocery store located on the lower East Side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The store is primarily an Italian Grocery and Delicatessen, known for its Italian and Specialty Foods, including a top delicatessen, prepared fresh to go foods, catering, coffee service, bakery, cheese, wine, and spirits. Awarded multiple times for excellence in various categories like Best Deli, Best Ethnic Grocery Store, Best Specialty Grocery Store, and Best Gelato.
Requirements: A successful candidate will have prior kitchen experience and be willing to learn; formal culinary training (school) is beneficial but not required; must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment in a team setting; high level of professionalism; ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; capable of reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds; able to work in a standing position for long periods of time; at least 1 year experience in a similar capacity.
