Position: Sous Chef job
About: New Seasons Market is seeking a Sous Chef for their Prepared Foods department in the Oregon/SW Washington region. The Sous Chef will assist in coordinating and executing the production of Prepared Foods products while providing exceptional customer service in a positive team environment.
Requirements: Previous food production, kitchen, or catering experience required; experience in a high-volume environment preferred; retail or grocery experience preferred; previous supervisory experience preferred; demonstrated understanding of culinary terminology, techniques, and industry-standard equipment required; previous ordering/inventory management experience preferred; solid knife skills required; basic math and computation skills required; basic computer proficiency required; skills to work independently, manage time effectively, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; adept at adapting to shifting priorities and needs of a retail environment; exercises good judgment; self-motivated with high attention to detail, quality, and presentation; ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment; proficient in managing difficult customer interactions; able to follow verbal and written instructions; flexible schedule availability; reliable attendance adherence to company policies.
