Position: Sous Chef job
About: Sorrel River Ranch, a luxury boutique resort located in a spectacular outdoor setting, is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen. The resort aims to offer a unique guest experience focused on locally grown food, adventure pursuits, relaxation, and experiential education programming to enhance collective awareness and appreciation of the world.
Requirements: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or Sciences and/or a minimum of three years’ equivalent professional restaurant experience including a formal apprenticeship in an accredited restaurant; aspiring and creative leader with the ability to manage a small and busy kitchen servicing various areas; seasoned professional with strong knowledge of cookery and culinary teams; highly motivated team player with strong technical and time management skills; experience in inventory control, budgeting, food cost, labor costs, and scheduling; knowledge of luxury hospitality principles and practices; familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS software system; bread and pastry training is an advantage; foreign language skills such as Spanish are a plus; ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
