Position: Sous Chef | Full-Time
About: Oak View Group, a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry, is seeking a Sous Chef to actively supervise, coach, and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards. The position involves managing all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive work environment. This key role supports the effective and profitable operation of the business, with a variable event-driven schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent GED; minimum of 3 years in a similar position in an upscale banquet, hotel, or convention center setting with prior supervisory experience; State-issued Health Certificate and immunizations required; technical proficiency in food preparation methods; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop staff through training and coaching; detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment; Serve Safe certified; knowledge of using computer software; ability to work collaboratively and independently; must be able to provide excellent customer service; knowledge of health and safety regulations; strong problem-solving skills; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends; physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform kitchen tasks.
