Position: Sous Chef (Cotino)
About: The Sous Chef position at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage, California is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation in a private club environment. The Sous Chef will lead kitchen staff, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering exceptional dining experiences within the Artisan Club restaurants, beach bar, and events. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences to Club Members.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; 5 plus years of culinary experience in a Club or fine dining environment; Minimum two years of culinary management experience; ServSafe certification; Computer skills in Excel, writing, and food costing; Communication skills to educate the staff in the vision of the Artisan Club Restaurants, Catering, and Events; Ability to work a flexible schedule with variable shifts; Understanding and ability to demonstrate cooking fundamentals; Proven knowledge of restaurant and events industry trends; Effective management of labor costs; Thorough understanding of financial reports; Experience in leading and developing culinary teams; Organizational and time management skills
