Position: Sous Chef, Columbia University
About: As a Sous Chef at Dig Inn, you will play a vital role in supporting the Restaurant Leaders to drive culinary and hospitality excellence in their scratch-based kitchen. The role involves mastering every station, executing recipes and procedures consistently, training and guiding Chefs-In-Training, leading during peak service, and ensuring tasks are completed on time. This hourly position offers a great opportunity for growth within the company.
Requirements: 1+ year leadership experience in a culinary environment; the ability to perform physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally); Food Safety Certification; a desire to create exceptional employee & guest experiences; an eye for detail and problem-solving; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; willingness to pitch in wherever necessary; desire for growth within the brigade
