Position: Sous Chef – Alsip IL Manufacturing Facility

About: Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products, providing a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers worldwide. Their products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coatings, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces, and food bases used in various applications from snack foods to ready meals.

Requirements: AAS Degree majoring in Culinary Arts obtained from an accredited two-year university or Community College; Illinois State issued Managers Sanitation License; Professional experience in commercial kitchens and foodservice operations, including a minimum of 5 years of supervision as a Sous Chef, Saucier, or Chef de Cuisine; Demonstrated knowledge of culinary techniques and ability to creatively support and translate concepts into live taste samples; Must be able to taste animal protein products and allergens, lift at least 50 lbs, and travel up to 10%;
