Position: Senior Event Planner
About: Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Senior Event Planner in our Marketing and Communications department. In this key role, you’ll work seamlessly with Marketing Events Team colleagues to plan and execute events, both externally and internally, across the firm’s footprint. This position works closely with host attorneys and marketing and business development colleagues, including practice group support teams, creative, web and database teams, in addition to outside vendors.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional event, meeting, or conference planning experience, preferably in-house in a law firm, professional services firm, or other corporate setting or at an external agency focusing on corporate events, meetings, and conferences; Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as manage projects and assignments to effectively prioritize and balance competing demands while adhering to deadlines; Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally and experience excelling in highly matrixed work environments working across multiples business units and functional teams; Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills; Ability to act with a high degree of integrity and maintain confidentiality and superior reasoning skills and sound business judgment; Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; CVENT and OnArrival experience is desired.
