Position: Security Officer – University Police Department
About: Carnegie Mellon University’s Police Department (UPD) is searching for Security Officers who are highly motivated and eager to serve the CMU community. In this role, you will be required to work a flexible schedule, including working mandated overtime and continuation of regular tour of duty. CMU’s mission is to improve and promote safety at the university through collaboration, proactive problem-solving, open communication, and the delivery of professional and dependable police and security services. Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; prior work experience in a security-related role preferred. Successful Background Check; PA Child Protection Clearances (Act 153); Fitness for duty assessment and pre-employment medical exam, including drug and alcohol screening.
