Position: Second Cook

About: Brown University Dining Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Second Cook to join their team. The Second Cook will be responsible for various tasks related to the production and service of daily menus and catered functions with minimal supervision, as well as guiding and training lower classification production staff as required.

Requirements: Meets all qualifications of subordinate ‘Cook’ position (see attached); Ability to perform all required production tasks with minimal instruction or supervision; Ability to anticipate needs, organize and prioritize work effectively, and ensure timely completion of complex production tasks; Ability to guide and train others in task accomplishment; Possess a willingness to promote a diverse and inclusive campus community; Ability to assume responsibility for production sub-systems; Demonstrates an understanding of basic baking techniques and dessert preparation; Demonstrates the highest standards of quality, sanitation, and safety; Attains and maintains RI Food Safety Certification
