Position: SCM Dishwasher
About: We are seeking candidates for the role of Dishwasher/prep who can provide a warm, friendly, cheerful & genuine experience to all our guests by delivering exceptional service and world-class hospitality to every guest, every time. The role of dishwasher/prep exists to set the stage for a world-class dining experience, whether thru cleaning & sanitation of service-ware or preparation of food products. Daily Responsibilities of Dishwasher and Prep Cook include but are not limited to: Understands and adheres to all food safety and sanitation procedures and promotes a safe work place; Follow excellence in great uniform standards daily; Communicates with chef, managers and other team members to learn of daily features, events, and important shift information; Retrieves sufficient food product from storage based on daily production needs and par levels for prep; Sets up station with food products and utensils and turns on equipment to ensure the station is ready for production; Cuts, slices, unwraps, and prepares raw ingredients (ex. fresh produce, meat cuts) for use on the line and for use in food prep recipes; Mixes and assembles recipe ingredients using proper portioning techniques and recipe procedures to create prepared food products; Assists Chef with evaluation of on hand par levels and completion of daily prep lists; Checks and adjusts temperature of equipment to ensure food is cooked and stored at the proper temperature; Prepares food items using recipe instructions, proper portioning methods, and cooking standards; Inspects color, consistency, firmness, and temperature of food products to ensure food is cooked to standards; Assembles the dish machine and maintains the dish station to prepare for cleaning and sanitizing silverware, plateware, glasses, etc.
Requirements: Be authorized to work in the US; Have reliable transportation; Have excellent interpersonal and team work skills; Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the cafe; Possess basic computational ability; Able to taste food & beverage offerings in order to know flavor profile, learn, understand, sell and support preparation of items as necessary for role; Able to memorize and replicate food production procedures; Able to read prep and service recipes
