Position: School Lunch Director (FT/12M)(NY HELPS)
About: Management Services – Greater Johnstown School District is seeking a School Lunch Director to oversee the activities of Capital Region BOCES’s Shared Food Service Programs under the direction of the Director of Shared Food Service Programs (BOCES). This administrative role involves establishing procedures for effective program operation, supervising school lunch managers and personnel, and ensuring compliance with program policies and regulations.
Requirements: Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college with at least a Bachelor’s degree in food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business or a related field and two years of large scale food service experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity; OR Graduation with an Associate’s degree and four years of large scale food service experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity; OR High school diploma or equivalent and six years of large scale food service experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity. The selected applicant will undergo a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation.
