Position: Sanitation Assistant
About: The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, believes in a healthy community starting with food. They are at the center of a network of more than 700 partner organizations and programs including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile distributions, and other partners aiming to provide food, dignity, and hope to neighbors across Chicago and Cook County. The organization addresses the root causes of hunger through job training, advocacy, and innovative solutions.
Requirements: No prior experience in a sanitation role is necessary; Must be able to lift/push at least 50 lbs; Must be able to read and understand chemical safety data sheets; Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently; Ability to prioritize and multi-task
