Position: Research Chef, Daily Fresh – Cold Merchandise
About: This full-time position at a company specializing in sushi and dietary needs involves developing new menu items for a cold display case, with a focus on ongoing trends and franchisee/account limitations. The role includes traveling for market research, daily onsite recipe development, and field presentations. The company’s product line consists mainly of sushi with dietary specializations.
Requirements: High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferably in the food industry or culinary), 5 years of food development experience (preferably in Asian cuisines, including sushi), fluency in English, ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, familiarity with menu planning and cost control practices, good communication skills, quick learner, creative, positive attitude, time-management skills, organized and detail-oriented, systematic and accurate approach to tasks, proficiency in MS Office, food safety knowledge including sanitation, HACCP, and allergens
