Position: PRODUCTION CHEF
About: A company in the food service industry is seeking a Production Chef to join their team. The Production Chef will be responsible for training and managing kitchen personnel, supervising culinary activities, estimating food consumption, developing recipes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards. This role may involve cooking for select occasions, overseeing catering events, and offering culinary instruction.
Requirements: The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services is essential. Minimum five years of related Food Service experience in a lead supervisory capacity is required, along with demonstrated cooking skills in a commercial or military kitchen environment. Previous experience with controlling food and labor costs, menu development, and culinary team development is preferred. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree with eight or more years of industry and culinary management experience, or a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated food service and food preparation experience. Leadership, management, and planning skills are key competencies for this role.
