Position: Preschool Kitchen Manager
About: The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team in providing breakfast, lunch, and snacks to preschool children in Hartford, CT. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, inventory management, staff training, and compliance with regulations. This position involves coordinating meal services and ensuring quality food handling practices in alignment with organizational guidelines.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of cooking experience are required; QFO (qualified food operator)/ServeSafe certification required; ability to maintain confidentiality and follow standardized recipes; experience with population served preferred; fluency in English language required, Spanish speaking ability preferred; empathetic, caring, organized, and strong communication skills; valid driver’s license preferred; understanding and promotion of The Salvation Army’s mission and respect for its values.
