Position: Preschool Chef
About: Cooks at The Learning Experience prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children. The Learning Experience focuses on childcare and spreading happiness throughout the center by following set menus, ordering food within budget, and adhering to state and federal nutritional requirements for children.
Requirements: Must meet state-specific guidelines High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred. At least 18 years of age. Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria, or equivalent. Knowledge of CACFP is recommended. Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role. Physical resilience: Demonstrates full range of motion, ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds, ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, and maintain mental and physical alertness.
