Position: Preschool and Afterschool Kitchen Chef/Cook
About: Brookline Sprouts and Tree of Life Open Bible Church are seeking a passionate and skilled Preschool and Afterschool Chef to create nutritious, family-style meals that bring joy to children and staff. The chef will play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of the meal service program, fostering a warm and supportive environment by preparing delicious meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and adhering to all nutritional and safety guidelines. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED required; culinary or childcare-related coursework preferred. Experience: Relevant experience in a childcare kitchen, commercial kitchen, or similar setting. Certifications: Current ServSafe Manager Credential and knowledge of USDA, CACFP, and Feeding America programs. Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and proficiency with technology for inventory and communication. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; comfortable standing, walking, and reaching throughout shifts; demonstrates mental and physical resilience to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment.
