Position: Pei Wei Restaurant Shift Leader-Hospitality/Culinary
About: At Pei Wei, Shift Leaders directly assist the Management teams and play a critical role in the success of the restaurant. They share the responsibility for training and guiding team members, working on all aspects from guest service to kitchen execution. Shift Leaders also take the lead role in the absence of Management.
Requirements: Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Experience: External Candidates: 6 months shift lead experience; Internal Candidates: 4 months Pei Wei experience; Competencies: Action Oriented – Consistently works hard at an appropriate pace, energized by challenges, committed to the brand and team, looks for ways to improve team performance. Customer Focused – Puts needs of guests and team members first, identifies ways to exceed customer expectations, effectively handles difficult customer situations, notifies Managers of customer service failures or employment concerns in a timely manner. Self-Motivated – Passionate about individual and team success, looks for ways to go above and beyond, takes feedback positively, maintains high performance when leadership isn’t present.
