Position: Pearl City Zippy’s Sushi Chef
About: This position is for a Sushi Chef at a dining establishment responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by providing quality food consistently and efficiently. The Sushi Chef preps sushi bar menu items, assembles and serves sushi in an appealing manner, and interacts with guests at the Sushi Bar to enhance the dining experience.
Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Experience: Previous sushi making experience required; Scheduling: Works flexible shifts according to store needs; Physical Abilities: Regularly push, pull, and carry up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for 6-8 hours, reach, bend, and have various vision abilities; Environmental Conditions: Works in varying temperatures; Necessary Skills: Proficient in sushi making techniques, able to pronounce authentic sushi menu items, basic math and writing skills, ability to learn and practice new food preparation methods, friendly and enthusiastic interaction with guests and co-workers, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, English language proficiency; Necessary Attributes: Trustworthy with company property, enjoys multitasking, punctual and dependable.
