Position: Patient Encounter Specialist – Part Time – OBGYN Clinic
About: UA Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team at the OBGYN Clinic, Women & Infants Center in a specialized support role. The position involves providing various services to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient care, including checking in patients, managing clinic revenue, and offering assistance to patients at the Self Check-In Kiosk.
Requirements: Education and Experience: One (1) year Customer Service experience required; Business Office Education or similar coursework desired; must attend all required course work assigned by management; possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management; able to perform math & bookkeeping skills; exceptional telephone & customer service skills; knowledgeable of English grammar & punctuation. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Preferred: Customer service oriented; tech-savvy; ability to multitask and be flexible to change. Traits & Skills: Must be self-directed/self-motivated; have good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to perform a variety of duties efficiently; accept responsibility for own work; work independently; maintain patient confidentiality; convey empathy and compassion; relate to others effectively; exhibit flexibility in a fast-paced healthcare environment; demonstrate a strong work ethic; maintain a customer-focus; provide exceptional customer service towards patients and staff.
