Position: Patient Concierge Representative – Adult Outpatient Pavilion – Days
About: The Patient Concierge Representative position involves coordinating and scheduling appointments, serving as the primary point of contact for patients with initial consults/appointments and treatment plans (e.g., infusion, outpatient diagnostic services) across multiple locations and services. The role entails ensuring the availability of all necessary documents for evaluations, liaising with nursing staff for appointment appropriateness, managing patient cancellations, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, medical staff, and visitors.
Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of previous patient scheduling/registration experience in a healthcare setting; strong customer service skills and patient/customer-centered focus; three (3) years of experience with medical insurance, HMO, managed care, GE/IDX, Cerner order entry, appointment scheduling, and medical terminology preferred; high school graduate or equivalent; ability to perform daily activities with minimal supervision; physical ability to lift 50-100 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, sit, bend, walk, climb, reach, and engage in repetitive motion; strong mental abilities including recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, and clear communication; emotional resilience to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, frequent customer interactions, and changes.
