Position: Pastry Sous Chef
About: Fairmont Breakers is a historic landmark and luxury hotel in Long Beach, offering 185 boutique rooms and suites, a rooftop pool and terrace, a two-story spa, dining venues, bars, and event spaces. The hotel prides itself on providing artful surroundings and innovative culinary offerings.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate; experience in a similar position at a full-service Hotel or Restaurant; culinary college degree or apprenticeship required; previous experience in pastry in a supervisory role required; ability to communicate effectively with the team; ability to create menus and specials; fluency in English; fluency in Spanish is an asset; knowledge of food cost controls; experience with menu planning and recipe development; familiarity with Birchstreet, Dayforce, Watson/Unifocus & Microsoft Office preferred.
