Position: Pastry & Production Cook

About: The SFK Production Team specializes in the preparation of specialty items for all Spinato’s locations, as well as Spinato’s desserts from scratch. Must be able to bake, which involves understanding how ingredients come together and how flavors taste and blend. The job also requires attention to detail, from preparing recipes to ordering ingredients and supplies. Must also be trained in safe food handling and sanitation standards. Must be able to multitask, work independently, and have knowledge of pastry techniques and knife skills. The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years relevant professional experience in creating and preparing recipes within a restaurant, catering, and or retail facility. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the quality of the product. Requirements and duties may include but are not limited to: Ability to do repetitive work; Knowledge of cooking procedures; Able to communicate with others; Knowledge of kitchen equipment; Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment; Ability to multi-task; Ability to follow written or verbal instructions; Follow opening and closing procedures; Able to lift 80+ lbs. Primary Responsibilities: Able to prepare food according to food handlers guidelines; Flexible with job duties; Able to work all shifts; Able to work in a high-paced and hot environment. Candidates must have great ethics and attitude, driven to consistently perform at a high level, and be motivated by working as a valuable member of a team.
