Position: Pastry Cook PM
About: Urban Farmer, located on the 8th floor of the Nines Hotel in Portland, is seeking a Pastry Cook PM to join its culinary team. Known as Portland’s most sophisticated Farmer-to-Table steakhouse, Urban Farmer utilizes locally sourced ingredients and meats to distinguish its food as the best in the city. As part of the Sage Restaurant Group, Urban Farmer focuses on providing highly designed, innovative, locally-focused food and beverage experiences to the community.
Requirements: Education/Formal Training: High school education or equivalent experience; Experience: Minimum one year food service or related work; Knowledge/Skills: Requires an ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with kitchen staff; Physical Demands: Position involves lifting food cases and metros weighing up to 70 lbs, periodic climbing, full range of mobility, continuous standing, ability to hear equipment timers, and moderate literacy; Environment: Inside 100% of 8-hour shift in varying temperatures.
