Position: Pastry Cook

About: The Kahala Hotel and Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook to join their team. The role involves mixing, cutting, and shaping dough, baking a variety of pastries, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness in the pastry kitchen. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with health regulations, setting up dessert displays, and communicating effectively with kitchen staff and other departments. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of baking and pastry experience, knowledge of sanitation standards, and the ability to operate kitchen equipment effectively.

Requirements: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma preferred; Three (3) to four (4) years baking/pastry experience required; Certification of tuberculosis clearance required; Good working knowledge of baking fundamentals and kitchen equipment operation; Ability to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods; Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail required; Ability to communicate effectively in English
