About: The Biltmore Hotel is seeking a dedicated Pastry Chef to join their team. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for the hotel, ensuring top-notch quality and adherence to standards. This role involves working closely with the Executive Chef to maintain kitchen safety, food sanitation, and training protocols in line with the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP).

Requirements: Education: An associate’s degree is required; Experience: Minimum four years’ experience as an assistant pastry chef in hotels with similar style and standards, fine dining experience, and strong knowledge in banquets; Skills: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English, compute accurate mathematical calculations, provide clear communication and directions, prioritize tasks, remain calm under pressure, work well in a team, demonstrate attention to detail, and possess moderate to advanced computer skills; Licenses or Certifications: Food Handling Certificate; Physical Demands: Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, use office equipment, communicate effectively, and adapt to varying temperatures in a hotel environment.
