Position: Part Time Sales Associate and Cashier
About: The Poverello Center Inc is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate and Cashier to join their team. The Sales Associate plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth at the Thrift Store by efficiently handling cash transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and engaging customers to meet sales targets. They also assist in store advertising, mentor staff, and escalate issues to the Store Manager.
Requirements: Associate degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred in a related field; at least two years of retail/store management experience; knowledge of city ordinances, inspection, and compliance; proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle physical demands such as standing, lifting, and kneeling; strong customer service and sales skills
