Position: Part-Time Instructor -Culinary Arts
About: The Compton Community College District is seeking experienced Culinary Arts Instructors to establish a pool of qualified applicants for positions as Adjunct Professor, Culinary Arts in Compton, CA. Under the general supervision of the Dean of Business and Industrial Studies, the Culinary Arts Instructor provides curriculum and equipment recommendations, develops on-the-job training apprenticeship partnerships, and trains and supports students in the Culinary Arts program. This position requires an understanding of techniques that facilitate adult learning styles and varying teaching modalities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s or higher degree AND two years of experience in culinary arts/food technology; Associate’s degree AND six years of experience in culinary arts/food technology; Possession of current ServSafe Managers Certification (or equivalent); Sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds; Understanding of individuals with disabilities; Three or more years of paid teaching experience
