Position: Part-time General Help (10:00 – 3:00)
About: Linn-Mar High School is seeking a General Kitchen Help to assist in the serving of quality food products to students and adults in a quick and pleasant manner under the supervision of the Food Service Production Manager/Kitchen Manager. The role involves organizing site work, practicing good nutrition in food preparation and service, assisting with serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the dish room area, controlling food and supply costs, and fostering good public relations with students and the community.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED; experience in school food service operations preferred; ability to attend classes as suggested by management; completion of Short Food Course I offered by the Department of Education is required; knowledge of job methods, procedures, and practices; ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as a team; physical capability to perform assigned tasks and handle kitchen equipment.
