Position: Part-time Dishwasher/Steward
About: AVIVA West Hartford is a beautiful, historic, and fully converted senior housing with amenities that seniors can look forward to in a modern senior housing community. In addition to 113 apartment units, we have dining areas, kitchens, bistro, pub, salon, theater, chapel, offices and common areas. Our residents enjoy chef prepared meals in a fine dining atmosphere. This position makes a difference in one of our residents’ favorite moments, their fine dining experience. Our menu is rich in options and carefully selected by our chefs, but this must be served on a spotless setting – your chance to ensure a great dining experience. We are currently searching for someone to work Tuesdays and fill in other shifts. Pay is $16/hour.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED); One to two years of related work experience preferred; SERVE Safe Certified (or able to achieve certification); Ability to communicate in English; Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner; Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations.
