Position: NUTR – Assistant Chef
About: Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) has been working towards social justice since 1973, offering behavioral health programs, human services, and civic engagement activities for Asians, Pacific Islanders, and other underserved communities in King County and beyond.
Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience planning menus and preparing meals for 65 or more guests is required; current Food Handler’s Permit required; previous experience in a commercial kitchen or senior nutrition site preferred; knowledge and experience in cooking Asian cuisine preferred; ability to work effectively with volunteers; fluency in Asian/Pacific Islander language preferred; ability to work independently and as part of a team; demonstrated organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Benefits: Pay range is between $23.23 to $23.89 hourly, 1 hour per 30 hours of sick leave, accrued from day 1, available to use after 60 days of employment, 403b Retirement savings account, Employee assistance program
