Position: Nicholas Markets – Sous Chef
About: This job is for a Sous Chef position in a culinary establishment. The role involves delivering a great customer experience by providing attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service, assisting the Food Service Manager/Head Chef in daily operations, and maintaining a clean and visually appealing department with a focus on product preparation and safety handling.
Requirements: Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English language; Ability to perform basic math; Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift; Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.; Ability to work in varying temperatures; Ability to work with food products without negative allergic reactions; Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner; Ability to work cooperatively with others; Ability to operate standard Food Service Department equipment; Ability to work assigned schedules and comply with time policies
