Position: Nama Sous Chef
About: F&B 575 at Nama at Aman New York is seeking a Sous Chef to provide leadership and maintain high-quality service and products in a luxury restaurant setting.
Requirements: Culinary associate degree or apprenticeship in culinary arts preferred; at least 2 years supervisory experience in a luxury restaurant or hotel setting, Japanese cuisine preferred; familiarity with luxury Omakase style sushi service; ability to train, guide, and coach line cooks and new hires; strong teamwork and communication skills; flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays; food safety certification; highly organized with the ability to work autonomously; exceptional attention to detail; cultural sensitivity; adept at handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; ability to maintain a professional appearance; ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods; multilingualism is a plus
