Position: Marketing/Special Events Specialist
About: Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for all public relations and marketing activities to keep the public informed of the Parks & Recreation Department’s programs and events. The position involves organizing and managing special events, community outreach, and developing relationships with businesses for support and sponsorship. It reports to the Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field; Minimum of 3 years experience in public relations, marketing, or event management; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently with initiative and judgment; Experience in developing media relationships and securing sponsorships; Supervisory experience is preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Valid driver’s license.
