Position: Director of Culinary Operations
About: The Director of Culinary Operations for Local Eclectic’s new café and wine bar concept in Chicago will lead the development and execution of a unique culinary experience. This role is responsible for designing a seasonally-inspired menu, building and managing high-performing teams, and ensuring both culinary creativity and operational excellence.
Requirements:
This position involves creating and refining an innovative menu aligned with the brand, overseeing kitchen and café build-outs, and establishing operational systems for inventory and cost control. Key responsibilities include fostering team development, sourcing premium ingredients through local vendors, and setting service standards across front and back of house. Candidates should have significant experience as an Executive Chef, Culinary Director, or General Manager in upscale dining, with proven skills in menu creation, team leadership, and kitchen operations. A passion for hospitality and elevating guest experiences is essential.
